Frequently Asked Questions

How can I order?

You are able to order either through our app (for dine-in, take-out, or delivery) or in-person at the food hall with our JCK staff (for dine-in or take-out).
We do not accept orders over the phone at this time.

Can I order anytime?

Ordering is limited to opening hours (Sunday & Monday 11am-8pm | Wednesday & Thursday 11am-9pm | Friday & Saturday 11am-11am). Note that the restaurants in the hall sometimes have more limited opening hours than the food hall and marketplace.

What's your delivery radius?

Our current delivery radius extends to:
> West: Groat Road / St Alberta Trail
> North: 138 Ave
> East: North Saskatchewan River / 50 St
> South: 82 (Whyte) Ave
If you believe that you are within delivery range but the app is stating you're out of range, please contact info@justcook.kitchen for help.

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes! We currently sell e-gift cards and will be getting physical gift cards very soon!

How do I redeem my gift card?

Gift cards can only be redeemed through in-person ordering (dine-in and take-out) at 5th St Food Hall (10344 105th St). All gift cards sales are final.

How can I check the balance on my gift card?

If you've purchased or were gifted a JustCook gift card, you can check your balance here.

Do I need the app to order?

No, but it's the easiest! The app allows your order to go right to our chefs and JustCook team and streamlines your ordering and payment experience. Plus, it allows you to view our whole menu and marketplace offerings in one place.
For dine-in and take-out orders, you are able to order in-person at the food hall (10344 105th St). A web app and kiosks at the food hall will be available soon.

How does the app work?

Our app is simple: just download to start ordering. You can order from all of our chefs, as well as the Marketplace, in one order. Then, pay in the app. Easy!

Why do I need the app?

The JustCook app is how our chefs and JustCook staff receive orders. Viewing the menu in the app makes ordering easy — simply add items to your cart right from your phone. No need for paper menus or trying to remember the name of that dish you like. It’s all right in front of you in the JustCook app.

What is the difference between the Marketplace and the Food Hall?

Our Marketplace offers local packaged products that complement the chef’s made-to-order menu items. You can order both in the app with ease.

How many restaurants are at the Food Hall?

4 permanent restaurant concepts operate out of the 5th Street Food Hall. The current restaurants are: 3 Foodies, Hom, Seitans, and Backstairs Burger. There will also be temporary pop-ups on Tuesdays and for special events.

Do you have parking?

There is a parking lot located south of the food hall.

What are your opening hours?

Our hours are Sunday & Monday 11am-8pm, Wednesday & Thursday 11am-9pm, and Friday & Saturday 11am-11pm. We will also open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays when there is an Oilers home game.
When pop-up(s) are available, we will also be open on Tuesdays, hours to be determined.

Do you take reservations?

5th St Food Hall only accepts reservations for groups 10 people and more at this time. Dine-in seating is available on a first-come, first-serve basis otherwise. Please note that reservations are available at the discretion of the JustCook team. Book for a group here.

Do you have gluten free/vegan/vegetarian options?

Yes! Our app allows you to sort and filter different food options, so you can find menu items that suit your dietary needs and restrictions.

What are your Covid policies?

Our staff are required to wear masks at the food hall, and when delivering to customers.
Patrons are required to wear masks per the City of Edmonton bylaw.
Following the announcement from the government on September 15, JustCook Kitchens will implement the Restrictions Exemption Program. Dine-in patrons over 12 years of age will be required to show one of the following, plus valid ID for patrons over 18:

  • proof of vaccination (full vaccination (two doses) received at least 2 weeks before time of service)
  • proof of a privately-paid negative PCR or rapid test within 72 hours of service (tests from AHS or Alberta Precision Laboratories not allowed)
  • documentation of a medical exemption

Tables will be distanced and plexiglass shields will be in place where appropriate.
Enhanced sanitizing procedures are in place.
Do not come to the food hall if you are feeling ill or experiencing Covid symptoms.
